The Nursery St. Peter's Team
The Nursery is a family run business and was set up by Irene Beaumont in 2002. Our staff team are our biggest asset and many have been with us since we opened. They are NNEB/NVQ qualified or above and all are engaged in continual training and professional development. Staff are carefully selected and each individual is chosen for the qualities and experience they can bring into the nursery environment. We employ a large staff team to ensure the quality and continuity of care for all children and we do not employ agency staff.
The Management Team
Irene is the Director who has brought up five children of her own before embarking on a childcare career. She has an NAMCW qualification in childcare and education and was awarded a Level 3 certificate in first line management. Irene has undertaken a range of training courses and qualifications throughout her professional career all of which support her ethos of ensuring that she and her team maintain their commitment to customer service excellence for all children and parents at the Nursery.
Alison Walker
is the Nursery Manager and
has worked in Early Years settings for over 26 years and joined the team
here at The Nursery in 2006. She holds a BA (hons) in Early Childhood
Studies and is currently in the final year of an MA in Early Childhood
Studies. Alison was the first person in Kent to gain Early Years
Professional Status and also works for Canterbury Christ Church
University as a lecturer and assessor. Alison has three grown up
children of her own and lives locally.
Julie O'Neill is the Deputy Manager and Pre-School room leader. She joined the Nursery in 2004 and has been working with children for the past 12 years. Julie has a Level 3 certificate in Early Years and Education and a Foundation Degree in Early Years Studies. Julie works closely with Alison in ensuring the highest standards of provision and practice throughout the Nursery. She has recently gained a BA (Hons) degree in Early Years Studies and Early Years Professional Status.
